  • 00:00 Phil, Donna, you took a look at the filings and it's clear that crypto everything is the flavor of 2025.
  • 00:06 Give us a sense of what kind of filings are out there and how they've really built on the crypto craze.
  • 00:11 So I think I went through all of them, if not almost all of them.
  • 00:14 And what struck me was just how many were centered on crypto
  • 00:18 or on Bitcoin.
  • 00:19 So we had one filing where it's looking to denominate
  • 00:23 the S&P 500, the NASDAQ 100 and gold in Bitcoin.
  • 00:27 We have another that's looking to launch a Solana fund, which there are other filings for Solana funds, but also inverse and leveraged Solana.
  • 00:35 We have some that are centered around convertible bonds issued by companies that then use the proceeds to buy Bitcoin, which we know micro strategy is doing and
  • 00:44 some others are also following in micro strategy's footsteps.
  • 00:46 So a variety of things all around, you know, the, the crypto space, A crypto assets
  • 00:53 because I think there is a lot of hope that with the new
  • 00:57 Trump administration, they'll be looser regulatory environment around crypto and
  • 01:01 potentially prices,
  • 01:03 you know, going
  • 01:04 bonkers and going higher once again, just like they did last year.
  • 01:08 Yeah.
  • 01:09 And we got the 100% hedged Bitcoin ETF coming out in a couple weeks from calamos.
  • 01:14 There's also
  • 01:15 just an
  • 01:16 onslaught of filings
  • 01:17 to track other coins.
  • 01:19 Solana XRPH bar,
  • 01:22 what's your take on that?
  • 01:23 Do you think we're going to see
  • 01:25 those get launched as well?
  • 01:28 I'm not in the business of making predictions.
  • 01:30 That's your job.
  • 01:31 That's your job.
  • 01:31 Yeah.
  • 01:31 All right.
  • 01:33 Well, I was going to ask you the same question I do.
  • 01:35 I have thought of asking myself questions,
  • 01:37 but
  • 01:38 I want
  • 01:39 to know your interesting for an interesting show.
  • 01:41 I think among issuers, the sense is that it's just much more likely to happen than it would have been over the past four years,
  • 01:50 because really the idea as we know is that regulations would just be a lot looser.
  • 01:55 We know that the the incoming Trump administration has embraced crypto in a variety of ways.
  • 02:01 You know, we even had
  • 02:03 President Trump talking at the the the flagship crypto conference last year, talking about Bitcoin and what had what his administration would do for cryptocurrencies and for the industry.
  • 02:13 So I think from the issuer perspective, This is why we're seeing this.
  • 02:16 It's possible that some are just throwing some stuff out there and seeing what sticks.
  • 02:21 But
  • 02:21 we could also end 2025 with a lot of these
  • 02:24 having launched.
